Voluntary patrols start at Mangawhai Heads Beach on 25 October 2025 until Easter Monday, 6 April 2026 on weekends and some public holidays.

Observational Patrols: 25 October to 30 November 2025 from 11.00am to 4.00pm                                                Voluntary Patrols: 6 December 2025 to 22 February 2026 from 11.00am to 5.00pm                                              Voluntary Patrols: 28 February 2026 to 6April 2026 from 11.00am to 4.00pm                                                                                                      

Regional Guards: 15 December 2025 to 13 February 2026 from 10.00am - 6.00pm                                              The Paid Lifeguard Service will be present at Mangawhai Beach during the weekdays and some public holidays.
